Colombian La Guamera coffee bean has an interesting story
La Guamera is a coffee farm in the Caldas Region of Colombia, in the hills of the city of Chinchina, which the Munoz brothers inherited from their mother. It also includes a small coffee washing grinder.
The farm, which did not operate until 1985, was reactivated with the influence of new coffee farms that moved to the surrounding area after the volcano Nevado de Ruiz eruption in the same year.
Since the neighboring farmers were new, inexperienced and unequipped in coffee processing, they started selling the coffee they produced to the Munoz brothers.
Thus, without any plan, the five Munoz brothers laid the foundations of the La Meseta company, which today processes and exports quality coffee.
The family, which has managed to keep the original name of their grandfather's farm alive with La Meseta, continues to grow natural, honey and washed quality coffees on their well-graded land over the years, a few steps away from their home.
